Harke Konstcentrum

Harke Konstcentrum (Harke Art centre) is the name of the building and its association. It is situated on the island of Froson in the province of Jamtland with a view over Storsjon (the Great Lake) and the fertile surrounding area. The mountains form a beautiful backdrop on the far side of the lake.

In 1992, the artists took over the building from Ostersund’s municipality and converted it to fourteen studios of varying sizes as well as an exhibit hall that can be used for art courses and other events.

The lower level was developed into a large printmaking workshop.
